Llanddwyn
A lovely beach, close to ample parking, with views across to Snowdonia. Walk to spectacular Llanddwyn Island, but beware the tides unless you want a long stay!
Aberffraw
A quiet beach close to extensive dunes. Easy parking close to Aberffraw.
Porth Trecastell
Park at Cable Bay near Rhosneigr and explore the beach and Neolithic burial chamber on the headland. Walk the often empty beaches towards Rhosneigr's Broad Beach.
Rhosneigr
Rhosneigr's main beach is a haven for windsurfers and kitesurfers. To the left and right of this often busy beach are mostly quiet expanses of sand and dunes.
Rhoscolyn
A great beach next to ample parking, accessed down a winding lane, well worth the effort. Walk around to the Coastguard lookout and seek out the rock archway.
Trearddur Bay
A range of beaches with many local facilities, a great place for watersports. Close to Holyhead, Trearddur Bay has a wide range of accommodation options.
Porth Dafarch
Between Trearddur Bay and South Stack lighthouse, this often quiet beach is a delight, with easy parking and good disabled access.
Porth Tywyn Mawr
With great views towards Holyhead Mountain and ferries coming in and out of the port, the winds at this beach favour both watersports and relaxation.
Church Bay
Church Bay has good parking and facilities, and the interesting Swtan Heritage Museum. Difficult disabled access to the beach, which is framed by cliffs.
Cemaes Bay
Cemaes Bay comprises of several beaches, easily accessed from several car parks. The town itself offers good facilities and a walk along the jetty is a must.
Llaneilian
Llaneilian is a small beach with a good slipway for boat launching. Star of the show, though, is the headland lighthouse - well worth the short walk to see.
Lligwy Beach
Lligwy Beach has two car parks, one containing an excellent cafe. The main beach is spectacular and offers short walks to other 'hidden' beaches and round the headland to Moelfre.
Moelfre
Moelfre itself offers good facilities and parking, and the RNLI Seawatch centre and newly built Lifeboat Station. The beach is small but is often busy with boats and offers great views.
Traeth Bychan
Traeth Bychan offers excellent parking and facilities and a good slipway for boat launching. Sandy beaches and surrounding cliffs make for an interesting visit.
Benllech
Benllech beach is enormous - at one end close to the town with lots of amenities - at the other distant end mostly very quiet, worth the walk along the sands to reach.
Red Wharf Bay
A huge beach, accessed from near Pentraeth, one side quite easy and the other quite challenging - but either way guaranteed an interesting visit for walkers or beachcombers.
Beaumaris
Beaumaris offers all the facilities you could ask for and more with its castle and pier - the beaches are easily accessible from the extensive parking - many boat trips are available.
